چکیده

Searching one of the most important reservoirs Cretaceous in Iraq is aim many researchers. The studied sequences are Mishrif Formation southern Iraq. goal to define fauna and design biostratigraphic zoning. Forty genus species were identified as associated with capable reservoir facies (the biostrome). Identification biostrome mainly was Late Cenomanian part studying sequences. Suggested biozones based on eight biomarkers, two which appear disappear together, leading four interval biozones. They are; (1) Nezzazata simplex conica concurrent biozone delineating Middle age. (2) Praealveoilina cretacea Pseudorhapydionian biozone. (3) Praealveolina tenuis Cisalveolina lehneri (4) Chrysalidina gradate Pseudolituonella reicheli Cenomanian.

Larger benthic foraminifera from the Middle Eocene

Larger benthic foraminifera (LBF) are common and diverse throughout the Paleogene sediments of southern Tanzania, but have previously been little studied. A recent programme of onshore drilling known as the Tanzania Drilling Project has recovered large proportion of this succession for palaeoclimatic and palaeontological study. The sediment is largely a hemipelagic clay with secondary gravity s...

New and poorly known Middle Jurassic larger benthic foraminifera from the Karst Dinarides of Croatia

Some new and poorly known larger benthic foraminifera are described from Middle Jurassic (Upper Aalenian–Bajocian) shallow-water limestones of the Croatian Karst Dinarides. Cymbriaella lorigae FUGAGNOLI is reported for the fi rst time outside its type-locality, the Upper Pliensbachian of the Southern Alps. New taxa described include Bosniella bassoulleti n. sp. and Dubrovnikella septfontainei n...

Systematics and Biostratigraphy of Foraminifera in Albian to Lower Cenomanian Deposits at Kerch Section (Southwest Qayen)

In this research systematics and biostratigraphy of the Cretaceous deposits foraminifera in Kerch section, southwestern Qayen, in the eastern margin of the Lut Block, were studied in detail. This section with 260 meters thickness, mainly formed by gray to cream color marl and shale, marly limestone and limestone laid on a light-colored limestone bed at the base. Seventeen genera and twenty two ...

Middle–late Miocene benthic foraminifera in a western equatorial Indian Ocean depth transect: Paleoceanographic implications

Middle through upper Miocene (17–5 Ma) benthic foraminiferal faunas (N63 μm) from a depth transect in the western equatorial Indian Ocean (DSDP Site 237, ODP Sites 707, 709 and 710; water depth 1500–3800 m) underwent significant faunal changes at ∼14–13 Ma and 11–8 Ma. These faunal changes are not easily interpreted, because of the complex factors controlling benthic foraminiferal distribution ...

First record of Gyroconulina columellifera Schroeder & Darmoian, 1977 (larger benthic foraminifera) from the Maastrichtian Tarbur Formation of SW Iran (Zagros Fold-Thrust-Belt)

The larger benthic foraminifera Gyroconulina columellifera Schroeder & Darmoian, 1977 (type-locality: Maastrichtian Aqra Formation of Iraq) is described for the first time from two sections of the Maastrichtian Tarbur Formation of the Zagros Fold-Thrust-Belt, SW Iran. New details on its wall microstructure are provided. The microfacies is represented by bioclastic wacke-/pack-/grainstones with ...
